The lively streets and the starlight pouring down from the night sky create a fantastical and luminous landscape. The warmth and subtle glow characteristic of Sasakura’s work unfold beautifully across the composition. This piece is regarded as one of Sasakura’s representative works from a highly accomplished period of his artistic career— specifically his fifth major work, created when his signature style had fully matured. ⸻ Biography 1954 – Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. 1977 – Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Commercial Design.
