This work combines Rokkaku’s spontaneous, minimal gestures with the soft, refined colors characteristic of traditional woodblock printing. Composed as a triptych, echoing the Edo-period format of “three-panel continuous” prints, the three sheets of washi paper are aligned horizontally to create a single, flowing scene. A gentle breeze seems to pass through the composition as a girl and a group of pink rabbits race lightly across a luminous field of color.
