鍵谷雅美さんの作品には、そんな猫たちの何気ない一瞬が、やさしく映し出されています。
いわゆる招き猫や愛らしさを強調した表現ではなく、猫本来の自然な姿や佇まいを大切にした作品たち。
ふと目が合うと、まるで本当にそこに猫がいるような気配を感じます。
毎日の暮らしの中で、そっと寄り添い、心を和ませてくれる存在。

愛知県生まれ
* 1995年 愛知県立芸術大学 美術学部陶磁器専攻卒業（卒業制作 名古屋テレビ買上げ）
* 名古屋市内ギャラリーにて初個展開催
* 1999年 イタリアへ渡る
* 2000年 フィレンツェの美術学校にて教鞭をとる
* 2002年 東京都世田谷区の陶芸教室にて指導
* 2020年 北海道札幌市の陶芸教室にて指導
* 2022年 シガラキ・シェア・スタジオにて制作開始
* 2025年 京都髙島屋 美術工芸サロンにて個展開催

Cats we encounter in everyday life.
Independent, curious, and full of character—sometimes playful, sometimes quietly contemplative.
Masami Kagitani’s ceramic works gently capture these fleeting expressions and moments.
Rather than creating the traditional lucky cat or an overly cute interpretation, she portrays cats as they truly are, preserving their natural presence and unique personalities.
When your eyes meet one of her pieces, it almost feels as if a real cat is quietly sharing the space with you.
These works bring a gentle sense of comfort to everyday life, becoming companions that quietly enrich the moments we spend at home.

Biography
Born in Aichi, Japan
* 1995 – Graduated from the Department of Ceramics, Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music (Graduation work acquired by Nagoya Television)
* Held her first solo exhibition at a gallery in Nagoya
* 1999 – Moved to Italy
* 2000 – Taught at an art school in Florence, Italy
* 2002 – Taught ceramics at a pottery studio in Setagaya, Tokyo
* 2020 – Taught ceramics at a pottery studio in Sapporo, Hokkaido
* 2022 – Began working at Shigaraki Share Studio
* 2025 – Solo Exhibition at the Fine Arts & Crafts Salon, Kyoto Takashimaya
